Dashworks - Implementation
Dashworks is enterprise software built on standard Microsoft technology for ease of implementation. Our simple 3-step process ensures that dashworks is delivering value immediately after installation. Our expert team will help you through each stage, ensuring minimum disruption, senior level support and ease of installation.
Step 1 - Connect To Infrastructure
Following initial install, use the dashworks management console, set up connectors to your desktop infrastructure repositories.
- Microsoft Active Directory Forest(s) or Tree(s)
- Microsoft SMS/SCCM Sites
- MSI Package Store
If you are using different technology from that specified above, that's fine. We're continually developing connectors to expand our portfolio of supported products. Just contact us to discuss your requirements.
Step 2 - Set Your Environment Rules (Migration Management)
- Set hardware rules for the migration (e.g. Less Than 1Gb Memory = Red)
- Set a Red, Amber, Green or unknown (default) compatibility status for the applications (This can be via an automated feed from AppDNA's AppTitude application compatibility product)
Step 3 - Set Data Refresh & Security
- Configure data refresh intervals (default = nightly)
- Link to Active Directory access group (if required)
Hardware Requirements
Dashworks is built to scale to millions of configuration items. The size of hardware we recommend will be based on a number of factors, so the below specification is simply what we recommend for an average installation:- Server-Class Hardware
- Quad-Core 2.33Ghz Processor
- 4Gb Memory
- 200Gb Total Disk Space
Software Requirements
Dashworks is built using standard Microsoft products for extra supportability- Microsoft Windows Server Standard 2003/2008
- Microsoft SQL Standard Edition 2005/2008
